Important Milestone Of Growth of Kendriya Vidyalaya, No.1, Delhi Cantt started as 3 section school with enrolment of 500 students. In 2004 School has started second shift. Total strength of 2 shifts is about 5500. On 16 Jan 1967 foundation stone was laid by Lt Gen Harbaksh Singh. On 8 Sept 1968 school building was inaugurated by Maj Gen S K Korla. KV mission is to cater to the educational needs of the children of transferable Central Government employees including Defence and Para-Military personnel by providing a common programme of education; To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education; To initiate and promote experimentation and innovativeness in education in collaboration with other bodies like the Central Board of Secondary Education and the National Council of Educational Research and Training etc.
