About KV

Important Milestone Of Growth of Kendriya Vidyalaya, No.1, Delhi Cantt started as 3 section school with enrolment of 500 students. In 2004 School has started second shift. Currently total strength of 2nd shifts is about 2800. On 16 Jan 1967 foundation stone was laid by Lt Gen Harbaksh Singh. On 8 Sept 1968 school building was inaugurated by Maj Gen S K Korla. KV mission is to cater to the educational needs of the children of transferable Central Government employees including Defence and Para-Military personnel by providing a common programme of education; To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education; To initiate and promote experimentation and innovativeness in education in collaboration with other bodies like the Central Board of Secondary Education and the National Council of Educational Research and Training etc.
