    NCC/Scout & Guides

    NCC is introduced in Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1 Delhi Cantt. Scouts and Guides is an integral part of the educational framework of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and is actively implemented in Kendriya Vidyalayas across the country. It plays a significant role in developing confidence, self-esteem, discipline, leadership qualities, and a spirit of cooperation among students. Through a wide range of activities, students acquire essential life skills, teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and a sense of responsibility. Outdoor activities, adventures, camps, and educational programmes provide students with opportunities to explore and learn beyond the confines of the classroom, thereby contributing to their holistic development.

    To foster the values of universal brotherhood, compassion, kindness, and service to humanity, students from Classes III to X are encouraged to enrol in Scouts and Guides and actively participate in various programmes throughout the year. Students enthusiastically take part in Rajya Puraskar and Rashtrapati Puraskar camps, rallies, and other special events. Cubs and Bulbuls from Classes III to V also participate in various rallies, Utsavs, and activities designed to promote discipline, creativity, teamwork, and social responsibility.

    National Service Scheme (NSS)
    The National Service Scheme (NSS) provides senior secondary students with opportunities to understand the importance of community service and contribute meaningfully to society. It encourages students to develop a sense of social responsibility, empathy, leadership, and civic awareness. Under the NSS programme, students participate in rallies, marches, awareness campaigns, and community service camps aimed at addressing social issues and spreading awareness among the community. Through these initiatives, students learn the values of selfless service, cooperation, and responsible citizenship while developing a deeper understanding of their role in building a better and more inclusive society..
